Back to Camp

Today, I dropped Maddie off at church camp. I cannot believe my baby is big enough to go to camp. She is even staying overnight tonight! Our church goes to the same camp that I did when I was growing up. It was really fun to go back and see it. Most of it was how I remembered, except that they have a different chapel. They brought in an old, one room chapel (like out of an old west movie) and now use it as the chapel. The dorms have also been remodeled and have smaller rooms with a bathroom and shower in them - instead of one large room where everyone sleeps.

Maddie was so excited to go. We had lots of kids going from our church, so she had several girls that she knew. Hopefully she'll be okay when it comes to staying the night, but I'm sure she will. She probably isn't even thinking about home - as much fun as she is having. I can't wait to hear the stories that she'll bring back. Camp was such a great memory for me, I hope it will be the same for her!

Fun at the Festival

Today we went to the Smokey Hill River Festival in town. We had a good time, but the best was getting our faces painted. Ashlyn was a doggy, Maddie a princess and Brooke a clown!
